My name is Ashley and I have been training with Mel on and off for about 5 years. I met Mel after I had just finished playing field hockey for Monmouth University.
As a former Division 1 athlete, it is one of the biggest challenges to give up your sport and resolve to a life of “normal” workouts. That is one of the reasons I love training with Mel, his workouts are anything but normal and his passion is inspiring. Once I told him I was a field hockey player he immediately knew what kind of workouts I needed (and wanted). Despite being “out of the game” I still wanted to train like an athlete and be pushed like an athlete and Mel did just that. We trained like a collegiate field hockey player; he pushed and encouraged me just like some of my former coaches. Secondly, his knowledge of human anatomy and sport/muscle specific training is remarkable. He has taught me a great deal and made working out fun.
Over the past 5 years I have been traveling and changing careers but Mel was always there to help get my butt back in shape when I got off track. If I was in town for a few days he made time to train and spice up my routine. I can’t thank Mel enough for pushing me and providing me with workouts that match and challenge my competitive nature.
